Planned Giving

You know how important companion animals are to our lives. For nearly 60 years, the Humane Society of Loudoun County (HSLC) has been able to save countless animals thanks to outright and planned gifts.

Legacy giving can help protect your family while also making a lasting impact on the causes you care most about. A gift to HSLC will ensure that essential and lifesaving programs for animals in need will continue for years go to come.

Including a charitable gift in your estate plan can be as simple as adding one sentence to your will or trust:

I give, devise, and bequeath Humane Society of Loudoun County, a nonprofit organization with the federal tax ID 54-6073310 located at PO Box 777, Leesburg VA 20178, the sum of $____ (or describe the portion of the estate or residuary estate) to be used for general purposes.

Some other planned gift options to consider include naming the Humane Society of Loudoun County as a beneficiary of all or a portion of:

  • A life insurance policy
  • A financial institution (bank, CD, brokerage) account
  • A retirement account
