Dora Lea Spring-Lucas

Secretary

Dora Lea was born and raised in Loudoun County.  She currently resides in Leesburg, VA. She retired from a 30 year plus career as a production planner/coordinator for 3D Systems in 2019. 3D Systems was the first company ever to make a 3D printer. One of the first medical ads featured a replacement limb for a handicap pup.

Dora Lea has been involved with HSLC and TNR since 2006, when her husband found a litter of kittens, and several weeks later came across a large colony not too far from the kittens. Not knowing what to do or how to help, she reached out for assistance and was directed to HSLC team members, Sharon Nylec and Terri Elrod. Her first attempt at trapping was helping to find a litter of kittens on the Shenandoah river. Needless to say, she was standing on the rock the kittens were under and didn’t see them, rookie!

Dora Lea currently feeds several colonies. In addition, she also acts as HSLC contact for several other local colony feeders and shares any donated food to the feeders.
